Excuse Me, Please!!

Please excuse my pathetic lack of posting here at Mama’s Muse.  It’s not that we haven’t been doing any learning worth posting, it’s just that most of my documentation has been over at Sweetness and Light and I thought you might be getting a little bored with:  "Violet, Math-new lesson, mixed practice," blah, blah blah….I know I sure was.

BUT I do find quite a bit of accountability knowing I’ve written down some of what we’ve been up to.  I think I’ll just leave out the mundane and keep you posted with the exciting stuff 🙂

If any of you would like to know about schedules or other minute details, please feel free to email me at: meresfab4athughesdotnet and I’ll be happy to share with you as I include many details on my Excel lesson sheets that are not posted here!!

We’re off to a great start for November, will post some more later!!

Blessings in your learning days with your sweeties!

A Hunting We Will Go…

Oh, A Hunting We Will Go, A Hunting We Wil Go…Hi-Ho the Dario, A Hunting We Will Go!!!

Well, Sweetness and the Gang have been away doing more house hunting and we think we’ve finally found the ONE that’s going to work!!!  Yippee Skippee!

Our pre-Easter week in review:

Monday of Holy Week we celebrated Matthias’s baptismal anniversary and mainly did our new Saxon Math which is going great, we love it and I imagine the kids will be ready for the next level by Fall! Oh and Violet had ballet class!

Tuesday of Holy Week a cleaning and laundry day as we had an appt with a moving company, all the miscellaneous stuff that goes along with that.

Wednesday of Holy Week was a regular school day with lots of outside playtime as the weather was favorable.

Holy Thursday was a wonderful day and we had a nice Last Supper style dinner.

Good Friday was the highlight of the week as we prepared for and celebrated with our Solemn Lenten Tea #2 put together by the most talented and creative Alice!  (More at Sweetness and Light)

Holy Saturday was another cleaning and preparation day and then we attended the lovely Easter Vigil Mass at our parish.

Easter Sunday we awoke to the cheerful voices of little dear children that have just discovered their filled Easter baskets!  A lovely quiet family day with SNOW!! but a quick bike ride was taken before the weather turned inclement, then we celebrated with our beautiful Easter dinner with ALL the works!

We Are So Blessed!  Happy Easter!

Oh, The Roller Coaster is Still Going!

Well, it seems that our rental will only be available for 6 months and then we’d probably have to find another one!!  Oh, this will certainly NOT work.  Who wants to move twice in one year and only for a rental!  Now we’re perusing a purchase option and then back to building again when we can find a suitable lot! I’m ready for a NEW ride I think!

Tospy Turvy!

Well, here we go again!  It seems we’re not pushing to move immediately, sigh…I can’t keep up with this emotional roller-coaster!  We can’t seem to find an acceptable rental and we can’t buy a Lot yet…oh the agony, sometimes it’s all I can take!

We’re On The Move

As it turns out, the events that have played themselves out over the past few weeks have come to fruition.  We are definately on the move.  Boise bound we are and probably within the next week or so.  VERY EXCITING and also a bit frazzling (is that a word?).  The kids are doing fine with everything as we have prepped them along the way, but I’m sure there will be gradual fall-out as things really begin to happen.  God Willing, it will all go well.  St. Jospeh, pray for us!

Writing Opportunities

I’m thrilled to have been asked by the guru of the Carnivals to participate in the upcoming Carnival of Homeschooling!  I’m writing about why I love to home school as there is no set theme, so anything goes.  Having just come off vacation time, this seems appropriate because it’s this lifetsyle that affords us any kind of schedule we choose!
